The Charlottesville Derby Dames is a not-for-profit group comprised of human creatures who love to skate and are willing to work hard to be competitors in the planet some call “Roller Derby World”. If you are here - the stars have aligned to make you put on some skates, accept some pain, wear the gear, and have a blast with some fantabulous humans. All you have to do is show up and give it a shot.

Who Are We Looking For?

19+ year-old women interested in becoming a Derby Dame.
Experienced Coaches who are willing to learn all about Derby.
Ladies or Guys interested in reffing for us.
Other derby leagues to be our friends (and future competition).
Sponsors
Someone willing to give us a larger space to skate for extra practices and future bouts.
Community charities that could use some extra help.

Practice Schedule

WEDNESDAYS

Charlottesville National Guard Armory
7:00 pm-10:00 pm
Avon St. Extended
Come check it out - and plan to contribute, workout, and skate!
The first practice is free, $5 per practice after that until you make enough practices to be a dues paying member. We have a limited amount of extra skates, pad, and helmets to share - first come, first served so come early!.

Please note: There will be no practice at the Armory on May 17th or May 24th.

SUNDAYS

Charlottesville Skate Park (on McIntire)
5:00pm-7:00pm
Sunday practices are endurance practices. No fee. Practice will be canceled if we are traveling for a scrimmage or bout (see our calendar) or due to rain or excessive heat.
