Practice through YouTube!

So, it's hard to get in a lot of practice time when FM is only once a week BUT you can still learn a TON through YouTube. Bonnie D. Stroir has an awesome series of videos that break down the mechanics of all sorts of skills, from crossovers to surfing to just knowing your track. These videos give a lot of good tips that you can keep in mind to try out while at FM... I have found her SO helpful and I really encourage you to check out the videos even if you only have a few minutes to spare.

OKAY as promised here are some awesome websites that offer off skates workouts...

http://www.rollerderbyworkout.com/ i don't actually have this video, but i've heard good things, and if you get it we can work out together.

I also highly recommend going ahead and buying some outdoor wheels. I used to practice skating in a flat parking lot - you'll be more stable because of the grippy surface and you'll have to push harder in order to move which makes it a great work out, even if you're just going in circles.
